Indoor Team Building Structure Building Exercise-
The builder programme has clocked no lesser than 150 runs since early 2003. It is one of the most versatile and effective team building programmes that we have.
If you think that using straws and tape to build towers is old school, you are right; we have stopped doing that years ago! In our builder programme, participants are challenged to build a structure that meets requirements that are seemingly impossible. Armed with ONLY straws and a limited amount of sticky tape, the teams have to strategise to come out with a winning design, then allocated their resorces to build the structure based on thier design.
While the participants are rushing to build their structures, we will comence phase II of their challenge, which is "job rotation". Through job rotation, participants will have a better understanding of how the other teams are managing their projects and they will be able to contribute their ideas to those teams.
Through phase II, participants will also realise that as they are rotated to other teams' projects, they will gain valuable experience that will help them in their own projects (even though the projects that the other teams may or may not be relevant to their projects).
Phase III of the programme may involve some drastic change to the requirements or resources provided. Teams are then forced to adapt to those required changes.
There are serveral versions of Anergy Builder and they can be use to emphasise on one (or a few) of the following values: brainstorming technique, the importance of planning and execution, delegation, covering one anothers' duties, time management, documentation, sharing, viewing of common objectives, being open to suggestions, adapting to changes, having a positive mindset, taking initiative, learning to be creative and paying attention to details.
Banquet (or cluster) seating for participants
Some space around the ballroom (if possible)
