Cross boarders is a highly interactive board game that require individuals to partner with other players to transact business deals. Loosely described, it is a cross between the highly popular board game, "Monopoly", and the card game that created a worldwide following, "UNO".
We describe it as "where business meets chaos".
At the start of the game, each player take over the role of a main character by choosing a main character card. Each character has relatives who look exactly the same as them and share the same last name but have different first names.
Each deal will require eligible players who are holding the relevant character cards to decide how they want to share the profits from that deal.
When each deal is revealed, different characters (including the main characters AND their relatives with the same last name) will be eligible in closing that deal.
Players who are eligible can vary thier takings (to make themselves more appealing to the main partner for that deal) to bid for a place in each deal.
Players who are not initially eligible can sometimes intervene in the discussion by ousting other eligible players or taking over the other player's main character card. They can even take over as the deciding partner for that round (provided they have the necessary cards in hand to do so).
The value of the deals increases over time, however, there is also a chance that the game will end abruptly, when the dice lands on specified number(s) from the tenth deal onwards.
Expect twists and turns in this fast paced game and watch how the same game can have different effect on different teams as some participants may be standing (instead of sitting down) and screaming at the top of the lungs to get the deals closed while others are calmly seated on their chairs and still get the same results.
Learing Values:
Strategy, team work, creativity and the element of chance all come into play in deciding the biggest winner among the team.
Discover a different side of colleagues, learn how different personalities exert control on a situation differently and also find out how we can be a well liked team player!
When participants work in teams, they tend to out perform individuals in their group who try to paly the game alone.
Learn that while it is important to be task focused at work, it is also very important to build strong relationships with those people we work with. If people like us, and know that we care for them and are concerned with their succes, they will in turn be more committed to help us be successful.
