During their Asia Pacific meeting where delegates from all across the world are gathered at one location for a few days, some of our clients wish to take advantage of this opportunity to conduct a team building session for thier participants.
However, some clients only have a few hours set aside for their group activity and will prefer to save time by limiting their team activities indoors at the function room where the meeting is held.
When we present most of our indoor team building programmes to them, some of them request to have a series of shorter games instead of one long game for their entire session.
Team works was designed to meet and exceed this request. Team works is made up of a series of short team building activities, which means, during the 2 hour duration, the participants will get to play 4 to 5 mini games instead of just 1 main activity. This gives it two distinct advantages:
1. the learning outcome can be customised - we can choose mini games that can bring out the intended objective in the session.
2. the variety of different games also appeal to different tastes instead of having only one main game.
3. having a series of short games also means that we have more control over time as we can easily skip the last game (or last few games) should participatns take up too much time in the first few games, or if the meeting before the session overruns into the group activity timing.
4. the level of debrief for this game is highly customisable, we can either get participants to share about what they have learnt and do a short debrief at the end of the session, after all the games has been played; or we can do a short debrief after each mini game. The latter will take up much longer time as compare to the former method.
As we specialise in working with corporate clients, our mini games usually contain a learning message and only those that are not demeaning are chosen. We will also propose a good mix of mentally stimulating as well as activities based challenges so it will appeal to people who have varied preferences.
Learning Values:
Learning values for team works can be customised by picking the games that are relevant to the intended objectives.
Typically, our clients will choose 4 to 5 games from a list of 7 suggested activities.
Some of the common learning objectives include leadership, communication, patience, trust, creativity, being open to changes and planning.
If you have some intended objectives that are not listed above, we can try to suggest games that can touch on those objectives. However, we seek your understanding that some learning objectives are best achieved through classroom style workshops and not through activities based programmes.
